We know how tough it can be to build something of your own while working in agencies or group practices that expect you to pour into their growth. We're not here to hold you back—we're here to help you move forward. We don’t just want to grow our practice—we want to help you grow yours.
We are currently seeking licensed clinical social workers and licensed professional counselors as well as other related fields (LMSW, LCSW, LPC, LMFT, etc.). We are seeking interested partners in multiple states across The United States of America.
We are currently looking to recruit limited license masters of social work (LLMSWs) in Michigan. All other states at this time must be fully licensed candidates.
We believe therapists deserve to be paid well. That’s why we offer all full-time therapists in this program a 70% fee split of all services billed and received.
In exchange, we ask for your willingness to learn how to market yourself — alongside the marketing support we provide. We also ask for 20 hours of client availability (which we allow a 90 day transition to be able to make this happen). We also offer administrative support, office space access, billing support, clinical consultation, electronic medical record, and optional groups and classes focused on marketing and practice growth.
We recognize that coaching and consulting are often essential when it comes to starting a private practice—especially around marketing yourself, gaining clients, and handling business logistics. However, therapists who are just starting out often can’t afford these services.
That’s why we’re seeking independent contractors who want to grow their private practices while working with us. We offer groups, classes, and as-needed check-ins to help coach you on best practices for marketing therapy and building your client base.
Much like other private practices, one of our standards for independent contractors (which you should expect as a contractor anyway) is the ability to make your own schedule. We do not dictate when you see clients, and we do not require you to attend any meetings.
All important communication is handled through email. Any classes, case consultations, supervision sessions, or groups that we offer are completely optional. These are here purely for your benefit as part of the independent practice program — not a requirement.
If you don't need them, feel free to skip them!
We have a no-questions-asked policy when it comes to leaving our practice and taking your clients with you... Well, maybe just one question: Which clients are you keeping, and which ones do you need us to reschedule with another therapist?
Our priority is making sure there’s a smooth transition and good coordination of care for every client under our practice. All we ask is for a 30-day written notice when you decide to leave, along with a list of which clients you’ll be continuing with and which ones will remain with us. That way, we can ensure everyone’s care is properly managed.
Also, in our professional opinion anyway, holding clients hostage is unethical (and tacky)! Clients should be able to follow you wherever they go if they so choose.
We currently have office space available in Clinton Township, Grand Rapids, and Plymouth, Michigan. You are welcome to use it if you’d like to take on in-person clients. If you prefer to be a Telehealth-only provider, you are absolutely encouraged to do that as well.
While Telehealth remains the preferred option for most clients over the past five years, we have seen an increase in requests for in-person sessions — both within our practice and across the area. Having access to an in-person location can make you more marketable, even if you only see a small number of clients in person.
That said, with the right marketing strategy, you can absolutely build a successful practice as a Telehealth-only therapist!
We also have a strategy of building small in-person office locations in areas where our therapists are serving. If you’re interested in bringing an office location to your area, we’d love to have that conversation with you!
We ask all contractors to give a good faith one-year commitment to our practice. This means we can’t legally enforce it — and we won’t try to hold you hostage here. What we are asking for is a mindset: come in ready to give us a year to help you build up your solo practice. If you want to stay longer, that’s great! If not, we completely understand and will genuinely support your next steps.
And when we say support, we mean it — not just a “good luck” email. We honor and celebrate therapists who stay with us for at least one year by throwing a Business Shower! Think of it as a party with professionals from our network, complete with gifts to help you furnish your new space (we know therapy couches and office decor aren't cheap!) and professional photos you can use for marketing your new practice.
We also offer options to continue using our office space even after you launch your own practice — a great setup if you still need a physical location but are ready to branch out on your own.
Because our practice specializes in ADHD, joining us will give you the opportunity to work with a wide range of children, teens, and adults with ADHD — providing you with valuable experience that many therapists don’t typically get.
In addition to marketing groups and clinical consultations, we also offer classes and support focused on helping you develop your skills in working with individuals with ADHD. This specialized experience not only makes you a stronger therapist but also makes you more marketable, whether you choose to continue in private practice or eventually return to the job market.
We are passionate about ensuring people with ADHD get the quality care they deserve. While we don’t expect you to market yourself solely as an “ADHD expert” (unless you want to — and if so, we fully support that!), we do want to be clear that by joining our practice, you should be willing and excited to work with individuals with ADHD.
This will likely be a major source of referrals for you from our end once we begin assigning clients!
While our Independent Practice Program might sound similar to other platforms like Headway, Grow Therapy, Alma, Thriveworks, and Path, there’s one major difference: We don't just hand you a stack of clients — we teach you how to build your OWN private practice.
We help you learn how to market yourself, grow your personal brand, and become independent — not reliant on us or any other company long-term. Our goal is to help you eventually graduate from us if you want to and be fully in control of your own thriving practice.
Here’s how we’re different from the others:
Headway helps with credentialing, billing, and insurance paperwork. They also list you on their platform so clients can find you, but many therapists report getting few or no referrals.
We’re different because we teach you how to actually attract clients through real marketing skills, not just list you on a directory and hope for the best.
Grow Therapy offers credentialing and a telehealth platform to connect therapists with clients.
We’re different because we coach you on building your brand and marketing yourself independently, so you're not stuck depending on platforms like ours forever.
Alma provides credentialing, billing services, and access to a therapy directory. They focus heavily on telehealth and online sessions.
We’re different because we offer both in-person and telehealth opportunities, giving you more ways to market yourself locally and nationally — plus, we actively coach you on how to brand yourself as a private practice owner.
Thriveworks gives therapists client referrals and handles billing, but therapists work under the Thriveworks brand, not their own.
We’re different because we want you to build your brand, not ours. Everything you do with us is about growing your own identity and business.
Path matches therapists with clients virtually and handles billing and credentialing but provides little support for building your own business.
We’re different because we offer business coaching, branding photo opportunities, business showers, office space options, and true entrepreneurial support to set you up for success beyond just seeing clients.
Simply put, we teach you how to create and grow a practice!
We help you become the specialist that your clients deserve!
And no shade to the other programs mentioned above — they are definitely helpful in their own ways!
However, if you're looking to build a private practice through long-term marketing strategies and not just rely on one or two companies for referrals, our program is designed to help you truly learn what it takes to be a practice owner.
We focus especially on helping you master the marketing side of private practice, so you can grow your own brand and create lasting success.
Justin is the founder of Thriving Enhanced Services and Superior Center!
He started his private practice with one clear mission: to give people with ADHD the quality healthcare they deserve.
Justin began creating online content in 2021, but his experience goes much deeper — he has studied content creation, digital marketing, and private practice business strategies for nearly 20 years. He started in 2006 at just 12 years old, right at the beginning of the YouTube era, and has been actively studying social media, online marketing, and SEO ever since.
In 2022, after going viral on social media multiple times, Justin received over 100 therapy inquiries in a single week — filling his caseload at a group practice almost overnight (after previously seeing only five clients when he took the leap to leave his full-time job). Since then, he has gone all-in on Superior Center, growing it from a solo practice into a thriving group practice, and now a place where therapists can come to learn how to succeed in private practice.
Justin is also expanding Superior Center into an educational hub for professionals seeking continuing education in ADHD-related care. Since 2023, Superior Center has proudly served over 500 clients.
Justin created this program for therapists not just because he loves talking about marketing and social media strategy (although he absolutely does), but because he truly believes that mental health care is best when it’s small. Solo providers and intimate group practices consistently deliver the highest quality of care.
This program was built to give therapists a true leg up in a world where big mental health corporations are taking over — and to help keep private practice personal, passionate, and powerful.
